As most know, celebrities and entertainers are also among those affected by the coronavirus, and many of them have found their own way of contributing to the fight against the pandemic. BET recently reported that the Bronx-native donated a large sum of meal replacement vegan drinks to New York City medical staffers.
According to a report from TMZ, Cardi B revealed she’ll be donating around 20,000 bottles of vegan meal replacement drinks to the New York City hospital staff. The star hopes to keep them well-maintained and healthy during their long shifts.
As most know, Cardi spent time in the emergency room recently as well, although, not because of the coronavirus. Initially, photographs were published of the “Bodak Yellow” rapper going to the hospital, however, she later took to her social media to refute claims of her coronavirus-positive status.
As it was previously reported, Cardi B was sent to the hospital due to stomach pains, however, she’s now at home feeling a lot better. Regarding the meal replacement drinks, Cardi is apparently a big fan of them too. She has posted about them on her social media before.

As it was noted above, Cardi B isn’t the only celebrity to contribute money to the fight against COVID-19. Other stars on the list include the world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, and Rihanna, among many others.
With that said, not all attempts to make people feel better has helped. Earlier this year, in March, Gal Gadot released a video featuring herself and many other celebrities singing a chopped up version of John Lennon’s “Imagine.”
It was slammed as being “tone-deaf,” and insensitive to the world’s problems, especially lower and middle-class people. Moreover, Gal was particularly singled out for the way she ended her video, with a look on her face suggesting she managed to pull something off for the benefit of the world.
Afterward, the video was parodied by other celebs, including John Mayer who added his own parts but singing a different song, “Imagine,” from Ariana Grande.
