God Of War, Spider-Man, And Other PlayStation Exclusive Titles Are Rumored To Be Released On PC In The Near Future

A lot has been said recently about Sony’s future plans for some of its more successful exclusive titles.

Rumors are circulating that Sony is considering releasing several major exclusives on PC platforms in the future, following the release of the PlayStation 5.

Several sources have been reporting over the last week or so that the PlayStation exclusive Bloodborne will be coming to PC, and possibly getting a remastered release on the PlayStation 5.

After that, similar reports started coming out that Bloodborne would not be the only title getting the PC treatment. A number of Sony’s heavy hitters, including 2018’s smash hit God of War, have been rumored to be crossing over into the realm of PC.

Aside from a God of War, some of the other names being tossed around for a potential PC port include Marvel’s Spider-Man, The Last of Us, Uncharted The Lost Legacy, Gran Turismo, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Death Stranding.

It has also been rumored that Sony’s 2020 hit exclusive Final Fantasy VII Remake might be heading to PC sometime in 2021. Sony’s exclusivity deal with developer Square Enix only lasts for one year. After that, we could see Cloud and company making the journey over to the rival Xbox One and PC.

Adding to that rumor was a recent hack of the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo, which uncovered PC code buried in the game’s files. The earliest a PC port of Final Fantasy VII Remake could be made available would be April 10, 2021, exactly one year from the game’s worldwide release.

God of War was a major hit for Sony, with many calling it the greatest God of War game of all time. That’s really saying something, with the series lineage stretching back through time all the way to the PlayStation 2.

It is believed that Sony’s Santa Monica Studios is currently hard at work on a sequel to God of War for the PlayStation 5. Of course, no one at either Santa Monica Studios or Sony have confirmed the existence of this game. But with the original game’s massive success, and some cryptic tweets from game director Cory Barlog, it seems like just a matter of time before we hear something.

These titles would be a huge get for PC gamers, however it should be treated solely as a rumor for now. Hopefully, Sony will make an official announcement soon, with some believing this could be announced alongside the company’s big PlayStation 5 reveal.

That reveal was originally set for June 4, however Sony has postponed the event in the wake of worldwide protests following the death of George Floyd in the United States.
