Mortal Kombat 11’s Next DLC Addition Could Be RoboCop According To Recent Rumors

Mortal Kombat 11 has been one of the very best installments in the long-running series to date. It just gets everything right with the fighter genre, from the spectacular fatalities, a diverse set of moves, and even a compelling storyline. It’s pretty hard to find fault with any aspect of this game, especially when it comes to the character options.

There are just so many to play with, not even including the DLC additions. Although, NetherRealm Studios has gotten these characters right as well. There have been many in this installment that fans have loved, with Spawn being the more recent. And it doesn’t seem like NetherRealm Studios has plans to stop adding to the incredible lineup any time soon.

That’s according to recent rumors. You see, just recently a dataminer found the word ‘ROB’ when they were going through some file updates of the game. Many fans believe this abbreviation is signaling a RoboCop addition. Now, it is worth mentioning the developer hasn’t confirmed or denied these rumors.

However, if past data-mining activity is anything to go off of, where there’s smoke there’s fire. It would be amazing too to see RoboCop get added to the mix. He’s one of the more iconic figures in comic books and action movies. He would certainly be a beast in MK 11 due to his heavy-duty armor and advanced weaponry.

It would also be nostalgic seeing him in a video game once again. It has been quite a while since he’s been featured in this medium, with the last one being RoboCop 3 for the Super Nintendo. That was all the way back in 1991. It’s only right that NetherRealm Studios would obtain his rights and give him a modern update.

The developer has many directions to go in with his character model. Just thinking about his possible list of fatalities is memorizing to contemplate. Of course, these are just rumors for now. Until the developer puts out an official trailer reveal, we’ll just have to wait and see. Still, it doesn’t hurt to think about all of the robot-smashing possibilities.

Even though Mortal Kombat 11 has been out for a while now, it continues to receive a ton of support from the community and the developer. It’s still going strong in 2020 and if these character updates keep coming down the pipe, there’s no telling how much better of a fighting game MK 11 can become. It’s the gift that keeps on giving it seems.
