Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent isn’t worried about contracting coronavirus. The 29-year-old is preparing to marry filmmaker Randall Emmett next month, and in a series of clips she recently posted on her Instagram Stories, she said some things that she admits could get her into some trouble.
Kent took a flippant approach to the coronavirus pandemic, and said that God would protect her from the virus because she is a bride-to-be. However, if she does end up getting diagnosed with the disease, she thinks it would be because God wants to help out her career with the attention.

“So I may get in trouble for this, but it’s OK: I just don’t feel that God would give me coronavirus before I get married – I just don’t see that happening to me,” said Kent. “Let’s just say I do get it before my wedding; I feel that means God is like, ‘B***h you need a little publicity’ – that’s the only way I would get it, I feel.”
In an earlier video, Kent said that she didn’t want to scare her fans, but she had been watching the news and she found out that “apparently” there was a “really bad illness going around – it’s called the coronavirus.” She then started repeating “corona” over and over again until she declared: “I feel like a Corona (beer) now!”
Kent also shared her thoughts about the massive media coverage surrounding COVID-19. She admitted she was “just like very confused” about the common sense advice being given on how to avoid the disease, like washing your hands, putting your hands in your mouth, or touching strangers.

People have slammed us. Our age difference, looks, how we came to be, all of it. To my sweet Rand. You are truly one of a kind. You are the kindest soul I’ve ever known. When we met, I felt something that most people only imagine. You represent what a man in a relationship is supposed to be. You have never made me feel less than. You have always treated me as your equal. Made me feel beautiful, Accepted my flaws, and built me up. To those who have doubted us, put us down, or supported us and lifted us- I hope everyone experiences a love like we have. We all deserve it. Thank you, Mr. Emmett. I’m honored to be your partner.
After she declared that she was pretty much immune to getting the virus because she was getting married, Kent asked a friend off-camera if they thought people would slam her for what she said.
Even though Kent might not think it’s something to worry about, others in the entertainment industry disagree. Both NBCUniversal and CBSViacom have halted production on dozens of TV series, from serial dramas to late night talk shows.
Numerous movies have also had their release dates pushed back, including the new James Bond film No Time To Die, A Quiet Place 2, and Fast & Furious 9.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules – which were filmed more than six months ago – air Tuesday nights on Bravo.
